Historic Oakland Manor

Historic Oakland is a beautiful venue with tons of history and elegance! But you probably already know that! so were here to talk about the good the bad and the in between of this beautiful venue.

We will start with the bad.

-Due to the layout of the venue it is very easy to get lost. There have been multiple accounts of husband sand brides accidentally viewing each other before the ceremony time.

-You have to use their seating arrangement. you are not allowed o move any of their seats or tables unless professionally qualified with insurance to cover their equipment.

-if you are planing to have your ceremony outside I would recommend you hire your own seating and decor company. Historic Oakland will not allow any of their seats or equipment to be stationed outside during any inclement weather. even if there is only a 20% chance of rain they will move the wedding indoors.

-the interior is quite small and cramped. large weddings are not recommended for indoor weddings due to this. the same should be understood for large receptions.

-this location truly shines when having outdoor weddings and events.

The Good

There is plenty of parking and space for large and midsize weddings. The staff are knowledgable and kind and are willing to work with you when planing your wedding.

locking in your wedding date 2 plus years in advance for best results however I have been apart of a wedding party that locked in their date 1 year and 3 months out and the wedding went off without a hitch.

The venue is obviously beautiful and spacious when on the outside

Getting to and from is simple and easy.

there is no discrimination of any kind to be found as of yet within the past 5 years there have been wedding from all walks of life and backgrounds.
